Merry Christmas...

Merry Christmas!! We had a busy Christmas Eve at JB's parents house with the entire family (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc). Alex woke up sick Tuesday night and still wasn't feeling well yesterday, but luckily Mamaw and Papaw have a crib, so he was able to take 3 long naps. He finally seemed to come around after the third nap, but you could tell he was still not feeling like his normal happy self.
Both Abby and Alex were good boys and girls during the year, so Santa stopped by our house and brought lots of great toys. Unfortunately, Alex woke up and still wasn't feeling well, but he mustered up enough strength to open presents and then see his big gift that was in the basement....a bounce house!!! I'm sure once he gets this nasty bug out of his system he will have so much fun in the basement jumping on the bounce house. Abby has been feeling fine and enjoyed her first Christmas, I hope she doesn't get the nasty bug that is going around. I had it last Thursday night and it was awful!!

Alex finally got up to join the party. He seemed to feel better as the evening wore on, I'm sure the Motrin helped!

Abby at 4 months...

Siblings...

Alex and Abby have so much fun together. In the pictures below Alex was hugging on Abby and I thought it was funny that she decided to grab his hair and pull it and then try to push him away with her other hand. Together they will be a handful, but it will be fun to see them grow up together!

Abby pulling Alex's hair...and look at the grin on her face :-)

Alex has figured out that he can move the chairs out from the kitchen table and put them up to the counter to take anything off the counter top, or better yet, turn the lights on and off, and on and off, and on and off... He learned to pick up the throw rug that was in the middle of the kitchen and put it into the corner since he was not able to push the chair over it, making it impossible to move his "step stool". Needless to say the rug is now in the basement since we kept tripping over it. The fun never stops!

No, No...

As you can see in this video (sorry, I couldn't get it to rotate) Alex loves jumping on the bed. This was after his bath so it was almost time for bed.

Me: Alex do you want to go to bed

Alex: No.....No

One, Two, Five...

Now that our Christmas tree is up Alex thinks that taking the ornaments off it is great fun. He seems to enjoy the gold ball ornaments the most. We are working on counting with him and he seems to like the number five...we say one, two and he says five...all the time! We are working on teaching him to count in the proper order, and we are sure it will come with time. In the photos below you will see that he took 6 ornaments off the tree and brought them in to show me, so we counted all of them before putting them back in there respected home on the tree.

Abby LOVES her big brother...she just stares at him and all his crazy maneuvers and will show the biggest smile when he is paying attention to her, which is often!

Christmas fun...

We finally got motivated to decorate the tree. Alex enjoyed playing with all the ornaments, but wasn't to keen on putting or keeping them on the tree. He thought collecting them and putting them in a basket was much more fun!

As you can see, Alex has a cut on his nose. I picked him up from daycare last week and there it was. He is such a boy, he falls and bumps into things all the time and it doesn't seem to phase him. Now when he falls he clearly says "I fall" it is cute!

He kept this hat on the entire time we were decorating the tree

This picture makes me laugh, this is Abby just relaxing with her legs crossed and chewing on her paciBig Girl...almost 4 months old!

We went over to Carrie, Sean & Savannah's house Saturday evening. Alex and Savannah were having a good time playing with all the toys in Savannah's playroom. Alex especially loved the kitchen utensils. Everyday I pick him up from daycare he is carrying around the kitchen utensils and gets upset when he has to put them down. Maybe he will be a chef...

I've been tagged (again)...

I've been tagged by Carrie to do the following:

1. Pick the 4th picture folder on my computer

2. Choose the 4th picture

3. Explain the picture

4. Tag 4 people to do the same.

This is the 4th folder with the 4th pic.

This doesn't go too far back since my computer crashed a couple months ago. This was over Labor Day weekend and we went to Mamaw and Papaw's house to celebrate the long weekend as well as Maw-Maw's birthday (great grandmother). Aunt Jen and Uncle Steve were in town, it was the first time they got to meet Abby.
