Sock Hop...

The kids had a sock hop dance on Friday and it was so much fun!  Alex was a whirlwind and very difficult to get on camera (in focus), and Abby had such a great time hanging out with her girlfriends!

I just love this picture of my big 8 year old!

Alex's 8th Birthday!!

Happy 8th birthday to the best son ever!  We love you buddy!  Your spunk and charm surpass anything I could've ever asked for, I am lucky to be your Mommy.

UofL Spirit Day...

I took Abby to the University of Louisville's spirit day where the girls can cheer on the court at halftime with UofL Cheerleaders!  She had a blast!

Games...

Alex and Abby LOVE games and building things.  We have been busy this week building marble runs and playing games (new and old).  There are several games that aren't pictured that the kids enjoy, Matching Games, Connect 4 and Dominoes are on our top list of go to games.
Oh, Oreo is always in the playful spirit.  He got into the crafts in Abby's room and thought the pipe cleaners were awesome.  Love this crazy cat!
Bounce off!

Marble Run!

Monopoly!

Monster Jam...

It was a last minute decision to take the kids to Monster Jam, but I am glad we went.  It was very entertaining to see the huge trucks perform tricks.  The kids had a blast and lasted the entire show, even though we got home WAY past their bedtime (we got home at 10pm).  It was worth it.  Alex said "this is cool" a million times and as we were walking out he asked to go again next year, so it was a success!

Winter Virus...

Abby came home from school Monday (the first day back from Christmas Break) and threw up in the kitchen.  Lucky for us we had a doctors appointment scheduled for an ear check that afternoon (she had an ear infection a couple weeks ago), and they tested her for the flu, which came back negative, and it was determined she had a virus of some sort.  She was out of school for 3 days, but it finally on the mend and feeling better.  I'm so glad she is feeling better and no longer laying around with a fever.
