Alex wasn't a huge fan of dressing up, but he sure looked cute!!

Doctor Visit...

Today we went to the doctor since Alex has been having a lot of congestion, and I'm glad we went...Alex has a double ear infection. He must have a high tolerance for pain since you would have never known he was uncomfortable the way he was acting. He was all smiles when the doctor came in and she was so surprised that he wasn't fussy at all! 10 days on antibiotics should clear things up. We have his 9 month visit in two weeks, so they will re-check his ears at that time. He weighed 18 lbs 9 oz today at the doctors office. He is getting so big!

Happy Halloween! We went to Charlie, Shelly, Will & Marie's house yesterday for a cookout. We had a great time. All the children were in costumes, but getting a picture of them together was a challenge, since they all started crying (there were 5 kids under 18 months old). So, we will get some pictures in the next couple days of Alex in his 1st Halloween costume and post them on the blog.

Alex loves his johnny jumper! Alex hasn't started crawling yet (hopefully soon!), but he does roll all over the place to get to where he wants to go.

Fall Festival 2007...

Alex and I headed to Virginia for the 2nd annual Fall Festival at Kelly, Shawn, Meghan & Luke's house. It was a great trip, and we were glad we were able to stay from Thursday night to Monday night, so we caught up with a lot of my friends and all of my family that lives in Virginia. Kelly and Shawn seem to outdo themselves every year. This year there was a bounce house, which was great fun for the kids, and adults, I know I was sore the next day from jumping in it!! We are already looking forward to this annual tradition next year!

Carrie & Jennifer's baby shower....

Alex and I had a busy weekend! We drove to Atlanta Friday night and came home on Sunday. It was my sister's baby shower and we had a great time. Alex got to try out some of baby Cooper's gifts, so he enjoyed that :-). Alex also got to meet his great Aunt Kathy and cousin Gabriella for the first time, so that was exciting. Alex wasn't the best car traveler on the ride home since he did not want to be in his car seat, but we made it home and he is now back on his routine...it only took a day to recover from the weekend. To baby cooper...I liked sitting in the bebe pod, thanks for letting me sit in it while your mommies opened gifts! I can't wait to meet you. Alex

Hot Air Balloon...

You never know what you are going to see when you look out the front door...a hot air balloon landed in our neighbor's yard this evening. Luckily the balloon was able to float to the court where it had more space to actually land, and nobody was hurt. Alex was already in bed, I'm sure he would have loved to watch all the action. Getting big...

Yesterday evening we spent some time outside enjoying the beautiful weather.

Alex in his pajamas. He has been going to bed around 6pm and waking up once or twice during the night for a bottle, but falling right back to sleep, and waking up around 6am for the day.

Clyde is starting to enjoy having Alex around, especially now that Alex eats Cheerios and many end up on the floor so he gets a snack. I also like the fact that I don't have to pull out the vacuum every time Alex has a meal!

Weekend at Mamaw & PaPaw's House...

Alex spent the weekend with MaMaw and PaPaw while JB and I spent the weekend in Cincinnati with our friends Jason and Lori. We had a great time! On Saturday we went to Kings Island amusement park and rode some roller coasters, and went to the Hofbrauhaus that evening for dinner and BIG beers (1 litre). Saturday we went to a Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs game. The Cubs lost but JB is thrilled that they are already in the playoffs.l...maybe this is the year they will win the World Series????

At the Hofbrauhaus with our BIG beers...we had wonderful German food and great entertainment, hopefully we will go again soon.
