Halloween 2008...

This was Alex's first year to go trick-or-treating. We went with our neighbors and had a great time.

Even JB got into the festivities in his lovely red neck wig and hat!

Abby took a snooze in the stroller while we walked around the neighborhood

I love the back of this costume more than the front, the mane and tail looked so cute

Abby's 2 month checkup...

We went to the doctor on Monday for Abby's two month checkup. She weighs 11 lbs 10 ozs, and is 23 inches long. She is in the 50-60 percentile for both, but her head circumference remains in the 85th percentile! I bought her some really cute cotton hats that she could where while at daycare, since she doesn't have much hair, but they pop right off her head...so it looks like I will have to return them!
I will post more pictures soon, but it has been hectic around here! Alex had a cold, then he had fever blisters in his mouth so he wasn't eating or sleeping well, and Abby has had a stuffy nose for the past week or so. Luckily, both kids seem to be getting better, so hopefully we will all be able to get a bit more sleep!

Neighborhood fall festival...

Our neighborhood had a fall festival that we went to today. Alex kept busy painting pumpkins and collecting a bunch of goodies to put in his baggie.

Alex just loves his little sister! Every morning he wakes up and the first thing he asks for his Abby, too cute!

This is the only video of Abby I could get to upload, the others were too long!

Time flies when you're having fun!...

Now that I am back to work time seems to go by even faster than before. Abby is 8 weeks old and Alex will be 21 months old in a few days. It is hard to believe he is going to be 2 in just a few months! Alex enjoying that last few days where it was nice and warm outside

8 weeks!

Abby's first week of daycare went well, they said she was great except for one day, she was a bit fussy. It is hard getting two kids ready in the morning, but we are managing and it will get easier with time! We value the time we have with each of them, especially on weekends! We have spent lots of time outside this weekend, the weather has been gorgeous! Alex didn't want to sit still for a picture with Mommy

Sleeping...

Abby's sleeping is getting much better! Last night she fell asleep around 8 and didn't get up until 2:45 for a bottle. After the bottle she wanted to stay up, but finally fell asleep about an hour later and I had to wake her up to get her ready for daycare at 7:15. I'm hopeful that she will start falling asleep later and sleep through the night, but being only 7 weeks, we are glad she sleeps more than an hour at a time!
Abby seems to be adjusting to daycare okay. Her first day she was wonderful, ate and slept great, but yesterday she was fussy all day long!

Time to go back to work...

The past six and a half weeks has flown by! I can't believe it is already time for me to go back to work. I had so many things I wanted to get done while I was out on maternity leave and none of them were accomplished except the most important one, bonding with Abby. She is so precious, I 'm going to miss the little sounds she makes while she eats and the look that she gives me while I am holding her knowing she is safe and protected. I'm also going to miss that smile...she has just started smiling and smiled for the first time while JB was looking at her...she is already a Daddy's girl! I know she will be in good hands at daycare, especially with her big brother looking out for her.
We had a great weekend just getting things done around the house. Alex and I went shopping while JB and Abby spent some time at home watching football. We stopped by Papa John's headquarters and walked the beautiful paths they have and stopped to get some pictures. Alex loved the rocks he gathered and played with them until he went to bed. He was very busy putting them in every different container he could find.

Clyde wanted in on the photo taking, so here he is. He is doing great with both kids and his back hasn't bothered him at all since the episode last winter. I hope he stays healthy and doesn't have any more back issues!

Outdoor boy...

Alex LOVES being outside! He had a great time collecting sticks in our backyard.

Alex and Clyde both wishing they were outside!

Proud Big Brother...

Alex is such a proud big brother. Every other word that comes out if his mouth is Abby. He gets so excited when I pick him up from daycare and Abby is with me. He has to show her off to all his friends. His teacher, Becca, says that he asks for her all the time as well. This Monday I am back to work (6 weeks has flown by!!) so they will be at the same daycare and I'm sure Alex will keep an eye on his little sister.
