Surgery...

Alex had tubal surgery this morning and is home now and doing great! The anaesthesia made his fussy for about an hour, but he came home and took a nap and is now back to his normal self. We are glad it is all over, and hope this helps him feel better.

We are heading to Georgia tomorrow to celebrate the holiday's with Colleen's family. We are excited about meeting Cooper. I'm sure Alex and him will have a great time together!!

Merry Christmas...

Merry Christmas
We hope everybody had a wonderful day. We spent Christmas Eve with JB's side of the family and will be visiting Colleen's side of the family this coming up weekend. Alex enjoyed his first Christmas, as you can see below he received so many fun toys, he doesn't even know where to begin to play with them all!!
Alex had a great time opening up all his presents from Santa. He loves his toy telephone and mini basketball!!
Santa visited Clyde as well.

Alex with his Cubs monkey!

Alex with his cousin Mark. They had a great time playing together at MaMaw and PaPaw's house while everybody opened presents.

Big smile with his new baseball bat and ball.

Bath Time...

Alex loves taking baths!

Alex got this Tigger airplane from Neena & Pop-Pop last Christmas (when he was still in he womb), he loves to play with it and we give him rides, which he really enjoys!

A front view of the army crawl. We really hope one day he figures out how to crawl normally, but his army crawl doesn't inhibit him in any way. He can get across a room in no time, so the baby gates are already up!

Clyde didn't mind posing in front of the fireplace, since he was given many treats!

Amber wanted in on the action as well!

Alex loves to be tickled (press play)!

Our little ball player...

Alex love to play ball!

Alex with Clydes toy...Clyde doesn't seem to mind, since he knows who he gets his Cheerios from! Alex enjoys Clydes toys better than his own, maybe I should go to Petsmart to get Alex his Christmas presents :-)

Alex army crawling. He still doesn't crawl normally, but he is very fast at army crawling and rolling around.

Bad News...

We went to the pediatrician today to be sure that Alex was well enough to have surgery on Friday, and we found out he has RSV. He has had a little cough, but other than that he has been in a a great mood, and not shown any signs of being sick. Our new scheduled surgery date is December 28th...hopefully we will be able to get tubes that day so that he won't have to suffer with these ear infections any longer. On a good note, Alex weighs 20lbs 2oz, so he is back up to the 25th percentile for his age, 11 months. Big smile! Love those bottom teeth. His two top teeth are about halfway in, hopefully he will show them off for the camera soon.

Update on ear surgery....

After going to the ear, nose and throat specialist we have decided to go ahead with the ear tube surgery. The surgery is scheduled for December 14th. We are excited that his ear infection will finally be gone after the surgery, but are a bit apprehensive with Alex having to go under anaesthesia.

We have officially turned the corner with sleeping, Alex has been sleeping through most nights, but will occasionally wake up just once for a bottle. We are so happy that we can sleep again!!
