Daycare closing....

It's a sad day today to see the place we have called the kids "second home" is closing.  The building was purchased by a new company and the space the daycare is currently in is becoming an autistic center for older children.  We feel very lucky to have enlisted the help of Ms. Ashley for the remaining weeks of the summer to watch the kids, she is wonderful and the kids just adore her.  She was Alex's pre-school teacher last year and is currently Abby's pre-school teacher so we are super excited to have her on board with us.  On to a new adventure and to enjoy the next couple months of summer the way it should be...fun and sun!

Happy Father's Day!

We celebrated Father's Day by having breakfast at IHOP!  The kids were excited to celebrate with Daddy, they both sat with him on his side of the table, too cute!

Happenings as of late....

Alex lost tooth #2, he was so excited for the tooth fairy to visit!

Alex has woken up sporadically in the middle of the night with severe foot pain.  After a trip to the foot doctor we didn't find out much, except he has flat feet.  We got inserts and will see if they help at all.
Shopping at Trader Joes....they have kid-sized carts which made for a fun time shopping!

New Activities...

Now that baseball and teeball are over we have moved on to different activities.  Alex is signed up for tennis and Abby's signed up for dance (tap & ballet).

At the dentist they each got to pick out a special "tooth" pillow.  I have a feeling Alex's will come in handy in a couple weeks since his other bottom tooth is really loose.

School's out for Summer....

Alex is moving up to 1st grade in August and Abby will start Kindergarten.  Hard to believe the school year is over, time flies when you're having fun!

Baseball & Tee ball are over for the season...

Baseball for Alex and tee ball for Abby have taken up many of our evenings the past few months, but now that it is over it is kind of sad to move into summer and not have exciting baseball games to attend, and often times frustrating tee ball games to attend.  Alex was on a very competitive machine pitch baseball league, and his games were a blast to watch.  His team made it to to the "playoffs" but unfortunately lost, so they didn't move on to the championship game, but the kids all had a blast, as did the coaches and parents.

After Abby was finished with tee ball the first question out of her mouth was "can you sign me up for ballet", so this Fall she will be taking dance classes, which she is excited about.  She just wasn't into tee ball, even though she was a great player.

Summer!!!

Ahhh...lazy days of Summer are upon us again.  We have been to the pool everyday since it opened, the kids love swimming, even though the water is COLD!!

Fun times shopping, the kids had to sit in this chair and insisted on taking a picture!

We met a new friend at the pool, his name is Joseph.  The kids became fast friends with him, I'm sure they will create many memories this Summer with him.
