This is a very random post, but we have been busy!
We went to Papa John's trail Saturday with the kids tricycles and they had a blast. We've had crazy weather these past 4 days...we had tornado warnings on Friday (luckily we were spared, but 30 miles North of us got hit hard). So devastating. Then Saturday it was in the 50's so I took the kids to the park, then this morning (Monday) we woke up to 4" of snow. Oh - tomorrow it will be in the 60's. CRAZY!!

Date night...
JB and Abby had a father/daughter date night at Chick Fil A and so I decided to take Alex on a date as well. I asked Alex where he wanted to go, he could pick anywhere, he chose Chuck E. Cheese. I have been to Chuck E. Cheese once since having kids and try to stay away from there if at all possible, but he chose it, so that is where we went. It was actually less stressful and chaotic than I thought it would have been. He had a great time, and after the date JB and Abby had they came to join us. I'm glad it was a Monday night, I'm not so sure I could handle that place on a weekend. Overall our dates were successful and we all had a great time. It is so much fun doing things with them individually, they enjoy it and so do we. Love these kids!

Alex's 5 year check-up..
Stats:
Weight - 40 pounds (25th percentile)
Height - 41 inches (10th percentile)
We have a healthy little boy who is following right along his "growth chart curve". He may be on the smaller side but his personality more than makes up for it! Love this little boy, still hard to believe he is going to be in school soon.

February Family Christmas...
The kids and I made the trek down to Georgia for our annual Christmas celebration, we usually celebrate in January but it was delayed due to everybody's busy schedules to February. All the cousins had a great time playing together and it was good to see my parents, Aunt and Sisters. I miss them already!

Gabriella is funny sitting in Alex's seat. His seat does go to 100 pounds and she only weighs 92 pounds, so she fit, right? Haha.
Dad loves his new Bose sound system
It was Kelly's birthday but everybody had to try on the Sombrero

Fun times...
Even though it is cold out we have been having fun outside and inside. Lots of crafts and lots of new adventures.
Alex asked to make an igloo. He cut out pieces of paper and stapled them together for the chimney and smoke. He is very proud of new masterpiece and it is hanging on his bedroom door.
We went shopping for my families February Christmas gathering and I turn around and Abby had two Minnie Mouse dolls, she conned me into buying one. She still LOVES Minnie Mouse.

We walked through a house under construction and the kids thought it was so cool. Alex wanted his picture in front of it, so here he is.

School time...
I'm not exactly sure where the past 5 years have gone but come August our baby boy will be heading to Elementary school. In Jefferson County you have to apply to your "home" school but there is no guarantee you will get into it, so JB went this morning to be one of the first parents to apply to Hite Elementary, our home school, and we are hoping he gets into it. We will know in May, so it will be a long 3 months before we know exactly where he will go in August. If for some reason he doesn't get into Hite we have about 3 other options (all private schools) that we will be applying to. I never thought this would be so confusing/scary, but we are hoping for the best. Hard to believe Alex is about to begin his journey through school in 6 months.
