Danger Run...

I went on the Danger Run with a few of the bunco girls and it was a blast! They give you a book of riddles that lead you to two haunted places (we went through 2 haunted forests), we drove about 100 miles and it took 6 hours but what fun we had. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Fall Fun...

Fall is here, but it still feels like summer! I took the kids to a local pumpkin patch where we saw some animals and went on a hayride to pick our pumpkins, they had a great time. Alex picked out a pumpkin for each of us, a really small one for Abby, a medium sized one for him and a big one for me, so cute! I told him he needed to pick one out for Daddy but he said he didn't need to since JB wasn't with us...so I kindly said I would share mine. Alex is a little comedian!

I love this picture, just wish it didn't have bad lighting at the top

Little Monkey

We went to the Louisville Zoo's "largest Halloween party" and had a good time. We met up with friends, Nikki & Robbie and their kids Zach and Madison and Amanda & Josh and their child, Landon. It was fun, they had a lot of neat characters along the planned route and the kids seemed to enjoy it.

19 Kids and Counting...

The Duggar's came to a local church to speak and it was great to hear what they had to say. They are very inspirational and I may not agree with everything they do, I do agree they have great kids and do a great job raising them. If they can raise 19 kids to be that great, surely I can raise 2 (or hope I can).

Firsts...

Another first for us, Alex got a black eye. Not a great picture and he has chocolate ice cream on his chin, but you can kind of tell the blackness around his eye. It happened at the playground where he was carrying two hot wheels cars up the stairs and instead of breaking his fall with his hands he let his eye do it. Luckily it is healing well and he didn't complain about it too much but it looked bad for several days.

Dinner with a Princess...

I had dinner with a princess the other night, the cutest princess there is (actually there were 2 princesses). My neighbors, Jamie and Claire and Abby and I went to "mother/daughter night" at the Chick-Fil-A in our mall, it was so much fun. Abby enjoyed the one on one time with me and I had fun eating with my little princess!

I Miss Him...

  1. I miss coming home to his wagging nub (he had no tail) and his dinosaur or flower in his mouth that no longer had stuffing in them because he ripped it all out
  2. I miss letting him out at night before bed, it was part of our routine
  3. I miss our walks
  4. I miss his kisses
  5. I miss stroking his super soft fur while laying in bed watching television, especially right behind his ears where it felt like silk
  6. I miss his smell (weird, I know)
  7. I miss having dog bowls in our kitchen
  8. I miss our weekly "picking up poop" in the backyard, even Alex helped, he asked to pick up poop the other day but there isn't any to pick up
  9. I miss his bark
  10. I miss his cry
  11. I miss him going to his drawer indicating he wanted a treat
  12. I miss his tricks; shake, sit, down, speak (he used to do them all at once before I gave any commands)
  13. I miss having to find him in our neighbors backyard because he wanted to visit their dog
  14. I miss the sound of him laying down when you could tell he was totally relaxed and he let out a loud sigh
  15. I miss him lifting his paw indicating to me he wanted me to pet him more
  16. I miss laying with him on the couch
  17. I miss sitting on the porch watching the world go by without a care in the world and he was by my side
  18. I miss his carefree spirit
  19. I miss hearing him breath and dream at night
  20. I miss Clyde

Big Girl...

Abby is getting so tall! She loves to carry my old phone and when she picks it up she always says "hi Neena".

Clydesdale's...

I had the privilege to see the Budweiser Clydesdale's the other day unexpectedly. I was driving to run some errands by myself (both kids were at home with JB) and I looked over and they were in the Kroger parking lot. I pulled into the parking lot and was able to get about 5 feet away from them, what beautiful animals they are, and they are HUGE!! I don't know why they were here but did hear someone say they were on there way to the Equestrian Games in Lexington. I wish the kids would have been there, they would have loved it.
