Whenever Alex sees the camera he says cheese. This morning he found my camera handed it to me and said cheese and here is the picture.

Alex is such a good big brother. The other day Abby was eating dinner and she got some on her cheek and Alex said uh-oh and went immediately to the drawer that has the towels in it, got one and cleaned off her face. What a sweetie!!

Abby sitting in the high chair getting ready to have dinner. So far she has had pears, peaches, bananas and sweet potatoes. She loves pears and sweet potatoes the most and wasn't a huge fan of the peaches - they must have been too tart since she would make a funny face after every bite.

Happy 2nd Birthday Alex...

It is hard to believe that Alex is already 2 years old...where did the time go??? We had a fun small family celebration at our house today with Mamaw and Papaw. There were LOTS of presents to open and Alex loves them all!! He got an adorable outfit and comfy pajamas from Aunt Carrie, Aunt Jennifer and Cooper, a really cute sweater from Aunt Kathy, a keyboard from Mamaw and Papaw, super cute clothes and maracas from Neena and Pop-Pop, and kids kitchen utensils and an electric car from Mommy and Daddy...Alex is one loved child!!!
2 years old!!!

Blowing out the candles on his cake

I think Abby wants some of that cake!

Abby had a great time holding onto the balloon

Kids never miss a beat...at Christmas we put a bow on Alex's head and her proceeded to take the bows off all the presents and put them on his head. He decided to do the same with these bows that were on his birthday present

A keyboard from Mamaw and Papaw

Utensils from Mommy and Daddy

We got this electric razor jr. scooter from our neighbor that outgrew it. Alex has just figured out how it works

Alex had a great time showing Mamaw and Papaw how well he jumps in the bounce house

Playing with the maracas that Neena and Pop-Pop got him...he could start his own band!!

Ear Infections...

I hate ear infections...Abby has her 1st ear infection. We went to the doctor yesterday since she had drainage from her eye, and we found out she has an ear infection. I am crossing my fingers this isn't the beginning of a series of ear infections similar to what we had with Alex. They did weigh her at the doctors office yesterday and she weighs 14lbs 15oz.

An outing to Sam's Club...

We often go to Sam's Club to get out of the house on weekends and to pick up needed items. Today was the first time Abby rode in the front of the cart, she had a great time checking out all the new sights.
Alex LOVES music, he gravitates towards all the musical instruments whenever we go to friends houses and at daycare and really enjoyed playing with this keyboard and drum set at Sam's.

We aren't sure where his musical abilities came from, since neither I nor JB is musically inclined

Same outfit...

We couldn't recycle many of Alex's clothes for Abby, but this is a green outfit that just says 'Baby' on it, so it works for both of them. People often ask who Abby looks like, and after looking at pictures of me as a baby she has many of the same features. I don't see much resemblance in Alex and Abby....do you? Alex at 4 1/2 months

Abby at 4 1/2 months

Weekends go by too fast!

We have had a wonderful weekend, but it has flown by!! Now that the holidays are over it is back to long work weeks and short weekends. This makes me sad, it seems that Alex and Abby are growing up faster than ever. I still can't believe Alex is going to be 2 next week, where did the time go??? I used to wish for the firsts in Alex and Abby's life, but now I want time to slow down, it seems that the firsts are coming quicker than ever with Abby. I cherish the weekends when I get to spend quality time with them...this means that our house is messier than ever and laundry gets piled up, but it won't be that way forever...if time keeps going by this fast they will be all grown up before we know it. The other day I was in the other room and when I came into the kitchen this is what I found...Alex got the bottle off the table and was feeding Abby. They are so cute together!

Playing in the laundry baskets...Abby loves to try to sit up so I sat her up in the laundry basket and Alex wanted to sit in one right next to her

Abby is getting so big!!

Happy girl!
