Chattanooga & Atlanta

For years I have seen these signs on I-24 on my way to visit my sister and parents in Atlanta and we finally stopped and spent the night in Chattanooga and saw Rock City and Ruby Falls.  It was a lot of fun, Chattanooga is a great city, I look forward to going back with the kids.  After a night in Chattanooga we drove to Atlanta and spent the weekend with my sister and Amy and my parents.  It was a great adult weekend, but it was great to come home and see the kids and take them for ice cream.

Circus Fun...

We had a blast at the circus last night!!  It was a great show and the kids enjoyed every minute of it.  We were running early so we stopped at the Heigold Façade and took some pictures.  Some history on this site is below.  Fun, late nights create for challenging next days, but hopefully the kids will get a second wind and school will go smoothly today. 

 

Mother's Day...

 Love these babies that call me "Mom", they made such wonderful gifts and I couldn't have asked for a better day!

 I had lunch with the kids the other day and got to thinking it is probably the last time I will have lunch with them while Alex is in 1st grade and Abby in Kindergarten.  The school year is almost over!

Our smallest baby, his name is Oreo, aka Mr. Hunter, so far in his 8 months of life he has killed 2 moles, 2 baby bunnies and he brought me a bird for Mother's Day.  

Derby 2014...

It's Derby time in Louisville so along with it came the Kindergarten Shoebox Float parade at school.  For this un-crafty Mom I was happy with the way her float turned out.  Derby weekend was filled with horse races, swimming, playing and hiking!  So much fun!!

Ice Cream Truck...

This is the first time Alex and Abby have bought anything from the ice cream truck...Summer is going to be expensive!  Lucky for me they make their own money doing chores so next time it is their dime that will be paying for ice cream.

 

Derby time!

It's Derby week, which means lots of fun, food and drink!  Andy's work had an event at the track on Tuesday and on Wednesday Abby had a field trip to Churchill Downs.  It was a lot of fun, we can't wait until Saturday where we will be watching the Derby on TV.
