We had a great weekend. On Saturday Alex and I went shopping all day at the Outlets in Indiana, he was wonderful! He loves to be out and about, so we had a good time.Hanging out on the floor, doing "tummy time"

So busy...

Alex got a package from Neena and Pop-Pop, he was very interested in what was inside, and enjoyed the taste of cardboard while we were working on opening it.

Alex was having a great time playing with his food! He didn't like the green beans, so he thought playing with them would help them go away...he was right.

Alex has continued to sleep well, we are so happy that he has only been getting up about once a night. Occasionally he will get up two or three times, but most nights it has only been once. It's about time!!

We had a busy weekend! Sheri, my best friend from Virginia, was in town and we were busy the entire time she was here. Friday we went to Holiday World which is an amusement park and water park and had a great time. Saturday we ran some errands, went shopping and then went to Belterra Casino in the evening while JB and Alex spent the evening at home together watching baseball. On Sunday Sheri, Alex and I went to Woodford Reserve Distillery and took a tour of the facility and learned how bourbon was made. It was very interesting, and I am glad I finally know the difference between bourbon and whiskey (bourbon is a type of whiskey)!! We were sad to see Sheri go this morning, hopefully she will visit again soon!!Sheri, Alex and I at Woodford Reserve Distillery

7 months!

Alex is 7 months old! It is crazy how more than half a year has already flown by. We are so happy he has started sleeping better, and he seems much happier in the morning after a good night's rest. He is a wonderful eater and so far enjoys everything he has tried, which are most vegetables and fruits. He can sit up for a few seconds on his own, but has shown a real liking to standing up. He tries to stand up all the time and has very strong legs, maybe he will skip crawling all together and go directly to walking??

So happy!!

I think we have finally "turned the corner" on Alex's sleeping issues. This entire week he has slept so much better than he had the first 6 and a half months of his life. Last night he went to bed at 7, woke up at 11:45 for a bottle, then slept until 6:45!!! It was great, now I wish I could start sleeping through the night. I am used to waking up several times a night that I have woken up at 3am the past few nights and have been up for at least 30 minutes before falling back asleep.

It's a miracle...

Alex went to bed last night at 6:15pm, woke up at 7:00pm for a bottle, then slept until 5:30am and had another bottle and went back to sleep until 7:15am!! Of course at 4am I woke up in a panic and had to check on him, but he was fine and fast asleep. He must have been really tired, but we are so excited that he slept for 10 hours straight. Hopefully we are over our sleep issues for the time being, keep your fingers crossed!!!

Another busy weekend! Friday evening Alex went to his first baseball game, we went to see the Louisville Bats at Slugger Field! It was a work outing so everyone Colleen works with was able to see how much Alex has grown. We had a great time even though it was very hot outside. On Saturday Alex spent the evening with MaMaw and PaPaw while JB and I went to see a movie, Bourne Ultimatum. We had a good time going to dinner and a movie, it is always fun to have a date night! Today we have been busy cleaning and getting ready for the upcoming work week, we spent some time outside since that is Alex's favorite thing to do!
