Enjoying Louisville and playing with baby tigers...

We had a busy Saturday enjoying the city we live in!  We went to the Louisville Slugger Museum and tour and then went to the science center for a few hours.  After that we went to play with baby tigers, at Wildlife In Need, in Charlestown, Indiana (about 30 minutes away).  It was a busy, fun-filled day!

Buzz Cut...

Alex needed a hair cut and when we were on our way he said he wanted his hair "cut so short he didn't have to brush it", so he got a buzz cut.  He looks so much older to me!

Kings Island...

We spent two day at Kings Island and had a great time!  These two are fearless!  I look forward to next year when they are 48" (they were about 1/2 inch too short) so they can ride the "big" roller coasters.  Abby really wanted to ride Drop Tower and was upset when she found out she wasn't tall enough.  Even though they weren't tall enough for several of the roller coasters we still had a great time.

Water!

We had a great time playing in the fountains and going to Calypso Cove.  I had to put a "throwback" pictures of Alex from 2008 at the same fountains.  So cute!

Busy Saturday...

We started off the day with the championship swim meet for Alex and Abby and both kids tried their best.  Abby won her heat for freestyle and backstroke!  Then we went to the Falls of the Ohio Park, which is right across the river in Indiana.  Such a neat place!  The kids enjoyed looking for fossils.  There's a lack of pictures of Alex because he didn't want his picture taken, so I tried the best I could to get a few of him to put on here.

July 4th Fun...

Our neighborhood had a 4th of July parade with a fire truck and ice cream at the end, it was a lot of fun to meet some new neighbors while the kids enjoyed riding their decorated bikes for our first annual 4th of July parade.

 Sitting in the fire truck!

Do Science...

As their shirts say, since they were at Science Center camp last week, Do Science!  After a week at science center camp we did some of our own experiments, corn starch and water, and corn starch and conditioner (makes play-doh), both were so much fun, but messy, but hey, you're only a kid once!

House work...

We've been busy with the house and making it look better each weekend.  This past weekend we mulched the front landscaping beds and it looks amazing.  There are a few other pictures on here of Oreo, because he's just too cute!

Mr. Modest

Check out the new white spot on the top of his head...it's paint!  Silly cat decided to look out the window when I was painting it.
