Happy Thanksgiving...

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! Alex has been feeling much better and has re-gained his appetite, so I'm sure he will love his first taste of mashed potatoes.

10 Months...

It has been a beautiful weekend here, yesterday it was about 65 degrees outside, so we took a walk and Alex had a great time playing with the leaves. 10 months old today...how time flies!!!

Moving up...

Alex will be moving up to the toddler room at daycare in the beginning of December. He has been getting bored in the infant room, so him and his friend Camryn are moving to the toddler room together. He is growing up too fast!

9 month check up (a month late)

Alex had his nine month check up today. He weighed in at 18lbs 9 oz (10th percentile), and his length was 28 inches (25th percentile). The doctor was not concerned about his weight at all, since he has always been on the smaller side. Unfortunately, both of Alex's ears are still infected, so we are on another 10 days of antibiotics. I hope this round works, or the next step is to get an antibiotic shot. Other than the ear infection he checked out great.

Alex still has an ear infection, so the doctor prescribed a different antibiotic. His second dose of the new antibiotic made him sick, so I have been cutting the dose in half and giving it to him twice a day instad of one large dose once a day, and that seems to help. Hopefully this round of antibiotics will clear things up, so Alex can eat and sleep better. Alex loves to clap his hands!

Alex wasn't a huge fan of dressing up, but he sure looked cute!!

Doctor Visit...

Today we went to the doctor since Alex has been having a lot of congestion, and I'm glad we went...Alex has a double ear infection. He must have a high tolerance for pain since you would have never known he was uncomfortable the way he was acting. He was all smiles when the doctor came in and she was so surprised that he wasn't fussy at all! 10 days on antibiotics should clear things up. We have his 9 month visit in two weeks, so they will re-check his ears at that time. He weighed 18 lbs 9 oz today at the doctors office. He is getting so big!

Happy Halloween! We went to Charlie, Shelly, Will & Marie's house yesterday for a cookout. We had a great time. All the children were in costumes, but getting a picture of them together was a challenge, since they all started crying (there were 5 kids under 18 months old). So, we will get some pictures in the next couple days of Alex in his 1st Halloween costume and post them on the blog.

Alex loves his johnny jumper! Alex hasn't started crawling yet (hopefully soon!), but he does roll all over the place to get to where he wants to go.
